Fly Fishing Update:
The end of June is in sight and what a month it has been! The river continued to fall this week, and we finally saw 9000CFS again. Fish are aggressively taking dries and nymphs with anglers smiling riverwide. The water temperature is hovering right at 61°F. We are looking forward to incredible ant, hopper and trico fishing as the river level continues to lower.
PMDs and Caddis continue to be on the menu. Fish are podded up and splashing on caddis, while smaller groups can be seen taking PMD duns and spinners. We can't say how much longer this dry fly action will last, but it's been an incredible start to the season!
Nymphing is the ticket to a bent rod all day long! Crayfish patterns of all kinds have been taking aggressive trout riverwide. Sowbugs, caddis/PMD nymphs and wire worms have still been getting it done.
Streamer fishing is slowing down. A few fish are still being taken on streamers, but it's best to stow those rods for the time being.
Drop us a line and we hope to see you soon!
