Fly Fishing Update: Cooler nightly temps have helped create ideal conditions for your morning on the Missouri! Fishing start times continue at 8:00AM with some very large fish being caught. The end of summer is slowly turning into our favorite season- fall! Flows have held around 4,690 CFS and the water temperature is currently 63.5°F. Early morning trico fish are tricky, but try ants! As tricos wane, anglers who present ant patterns have been feeding some very large sipping trout. Hopper action is heating up midday. We are eagerly await the BWO hatches of autumn as we push into fall. Nymphing continues to produce fish in shallow runs. Pinch on indicators or hopper droppers have been picking up fish left and right. This is the time of year to spread out and prospect some waters outside of the dam section. Streamer fishing continues to be a sleeper hit! Colder and cloudier weather has provided some windows of opportunity for connecting with fish. Anglers that can deal with weeds have been finding quality fish on the streamer.
