For our dry fly only enthusiasts, this week was outstanding! Great action early and late. After an incredible dinner at MRR, the action continues. Grab a loaner rod, hop on our e-bikes, and explore 1.5 miles of private river frontage with pods of rising fish. Daily high temps will range from 86°-94°F. Flows are at 4,140 CFS with water temperatures at 65.8°F.
Dry fly fishing continues to reward dedicated anglers who have honed their casts & drifts. Excellent Trico spinner falls, splashy caddis eats and large terrestrials are producing wonderful action. Fish are podded up, presenting great targets.
Nymphing is still great. Some are staying shallow, others are going deep. A hard haul will get you out of the weeds and right back into the fish. You might connect with a few whitefish this time of year. They're native, indicative of a healthy river and put up a great fight so enjoy the ride!
Streamer fishing is still snoozing and will return as water temps cool off in the fall.
Drop us a line, and we'll see you soon at the ranch!
