Incredible Dry Fly Fishing with PMDS!

June 13, 2024

The Missouri is in top shape as late mornings have produced excellent PMD hatches! Fish are rising river wide and presenting excellent targets. Weather conditions are perfect and Craig is alive with anglers from all over. Missouri River flows are at 5,460 CFS. Water temperatures have risen to an ideal 57°F.

Dry fly fishing has been nothing short of phenomenal and the wade fishing from our property is fantastic. Late mornings to early afternoon has seen the bulk of activity with good spinner fishing thereafter. Grab a rod at check-in or after dinner and cast to rising fish!

Nymphing short with PMD patterns and emergers have produced a great number of fish in shallower water. Some anglers have continued to find success with zirdles and weight flies as well.

Streamer fishing should stay in the back pocket for now. This is a great time of year to improve your dry fly fishing and table to streamers for windy/cloudier days.

Drop us a line, and we'll see you soon at the ranch!
