Fly fishing the Missouri River in October is a privilege that only a few fortunate anglers will experience in their lifetime. Large colored-up brown trout aggressively chase down streamers on nearly every cast while rainbow trout cruise the runs feeding heavily in anticipation of winter. The entire river comes alive as the spawn is just around the corner. Large hatches of blue winged olives have pods of fishing rising happily, while the errant October Caddis has trout making explosive takes. Back at the Missouri River Ranch we celebrate the fall season by carefully crafting a seasonal menu and offering our guests the opportunity to view Montana wildlife up close. Whether watching our local elk heard and listening to their bugles, or hiking the ranch property and seeing the fall rut in action, your Montana adventure is just around the corner!
Drop us a line, and we'll see you soon at the ranch!
